Flowers Oblong or elongated oval-shaped spike 5-7 cm long on a short stalk, with slightly hairy spikelets. Fruit and Seeds Spikelets oval-shaped to slightly lance-shaped, about 2.5 mm long. Habitat Grasslands, disturbed areas, waste land, pastures. Distinguishing Features Differs from grasses in the closely related Urochloa genus as it has spikelets on one side rather than two opposite sides.
