Leaves: Smooth, hairless, linear, up to 15 cm long. Flowers: Large, up to 12 cm long, showy, white with purplish streaks on outside. With 6 petals fusing at base to form trumpet-shape. Fruit and Seeds: Narrow capsules 5-8 cm long, remaining erect even after opening. Contain hundreds of small winged seeds. Habitat: Woodlands, forests, roadsides, old gardens. Distinguishing Features: Purplish streaks on the outside of flowers distinguish from other Trumpet flowers (Lilium species).
