Family: Bignoniaceae Scientific name: Campsis radicans Description: Plant Form: Woody vine to scrambling shrub. Size: Climbing up to 10 m. Stem: Woody, sprawling, with aerial roots. Leaves: Compound of opposite leaflets up to 30 cm long with a single leaflet at the end. With roughly serrated margins. Flowers: Red or reddish-orange, trumpet shaped, up to 9 cm across. Fruit and Seeds: Dry pod up to 20 cm long, containing numerous winged seeds. Habitat: Roadsides, old gardens, urban bushland.
