Leaves: Alternately arranged, twice compound in 7-20 pairs with many elliptical to oblong leaflets. Flowers: Very showy bright red with 5 fan-shaped petals in clusters near the end of branches. Fruit and Seeds: Elongated and flattened woody oblong pods 30-60 cm long. Becoming darker brown or black as they mature. Habitat: Rainforest, riparian areas, roadsides, urban areas, old gardens.
