Leaves: Compound at base, oval or elliptic-shaped and with toothed edges. Covered with hairs. Becoming smaller and more singular higher up. Flowers: In groups of 4-7. Pink, with 5 petals. Fruit and Seeds: Long, narrowing with beak. 3-5 cm long with long awn that has hairy pits and grooves underneath awn. Habitat: Disturbed areas, roadsides, cropping areas, pastures, grasslands, old gardens. Distinguishing Features: Distinguished from other introduced Storks bills (Erodium species) by a combination of compound leaves and hairy pits under awns.
