Family: Verbenaceae Scientific name: Glandularia aristigera Description: Plant Form: Upright or creeping herb. Size: Up to 60 cm tall. Stem: Branching, sometimes erect, running along ground, or angling upwards. Moderately hairy. Leaves: 2-7 cm long, triangular in overall outline but deeply divided into segments that are almost linear with pointed tips. Flowers: Tubular spreading open at top, small, showy pink or purplish (occasionally white) with white circular centre. Petals have notches in top. Fruit and Seeds: Narrow and thin, roughly 3 mm long, with a wider centre, and containing a single seed. Splitting open at maturity. Habitat: Old gardens, roadsides, disturbed areas, lawns, parks, pastures, cropping areas, arid areas.
