Leaves: Linear to oblong or lance-shaped. 5-20 cm long in rosette, smaller and clasping stem higher up. With widely spaced teeth along edges. Flowers: Bright yellow fading to pink or orangey-red. With 4 soft flappy petals. On stem at joins with leaf-like bracts. Fruit and Seeds: Almost cylindrical capsule, wider at top, 3-4 cm long, with a sparse covering of long hairs.
