Leaves: Alternately arranged, lance to oval-shaped, 4-10 cm long, with toothed to deeply lobed edges. Green on top, greyish-white underneath, both sides covered in fine white hairs. Flowers: Showy bright yellow, sunflower-like, 2.5-5 cm across, with 12-15 yellow petal-like florets. Singular on long stalks at the end of branches. Fruit and Seeds: Brown or greyish-brown dry, flattened, finely hairy, with pale wings and 2 bristles. Habitat: Riparian areas, disturbed areas, open woodlands, grasslands, cropping areas.
