Fibrous and hairy, especially on branches. Leaves: Narrow oval-shaped with toothed edges. Both surfaces densely covered in whitish hairs. Flowers: Small, 3-4 mm across, yellow with 5 petals. Surrounded by hairy lobes. Fruit and Seeds: Small capsule enclosed in flower parts, about 2 mm long, covered in hairs and containing oval shaped seeds. Habitat: This native plant inhabits open forests, rainforest margins, and riparian areas. Impacts: Note - this is a native species that is weedy outside its native range.
