Leaves: Alternately arranged, compound of 2-7 pairs of leaflets which are egg-shaped with smooth edges and a short point at tips. Flowers: Pink or purple pea-shaped, 1.8-3 cm long solitary or in small clusters in the leaf forks. Fruit and Seeds: Elongated, flattened pods, 3-7 cm long, with distinct constrictions between the 6-12 oblong seeds. Green to yellowish brown and somewhat hairy.
