Stem: Thin, wiry, greyish-green, richly branching, often with a curved spine at the end. Leaves: Do not persist for long. 1.5-7 cm long linear to narrow lance-shaped. Flat, thin, with a pointed or tapering end. Flowers: Clusters of small creamy white or yellowish flowers in spike-like groupings 2-12 cm long at nodes on stems. Fruit and Seeds: Dry, triangular in shape, smooth, shiny. Habitat: This native species inhabits low lying and riparian areas, dry forests, and woodlands. Impacts: Note - this is a native species.
